CHW 3M – Etruscans & the Rise of Rome
In the year 509 BCE, Rome declared itself a Republic! They had grown tired of the monarchy the Etruscan kings had been running and did not want to be ruled by kings anymore.
Before we learn about the Roman Republic, you have to learn about the region that influenced the rise of Rome – Etruria and the Etruscans.
Your textbook has some great information on the early years of Ancient Rome, including a detailed look at the Etruscans and their influence on Rome. Instead of having you read the information and summarize it in your notes, I have created a scavenger hunt for you to do. Read pages 163-168 in your textbooks and complete the scavenger hunt provided!
